Little Rock Central High School won it's first State Championship for Track in 1908. Since then, Central has won 53 Championships. They have been featured three different times in Ripley's "Believe It Or Not" for their track success. The Tigers were featured for winning 50 consecutive meets, going 15 years without a defeat, and winning 97 consecutive meets. Beginning in 1926, Central won the State Championship for 20 consecutive years
Some of the coaches which are a part of this tremendous accomplishment are Earl Quigley, Homer Berry (only 4 meets), George Haynie, Clyde Hart, Clyde Horton, and Central's current coach, Larry Siegel.
